I've had a good year with a new UK pb of 45lb also 2 x 30's and a 29 plus a few smaller fish. A good 3 day trip in Spain with cats taken of 138, 112,
104 and some smaller fish. The only down side was a trip to France that didnt produce with just 3 kitten to 17lb. All in all a good season.

msatch wrote:Hi msatch, sounds like you had a good season mate! Out of interest, what constitutes "loads of 40's" - I'm not being funny mate but I had 4 over forty and thought that was 'loads' - just want to get an idea of how I compare
I managed to up my PB to 49lb 2oz so I am a happy camper! |

Ooo rrr All,
I've had 5 cats all year and I've put alot of time in after them, I didn't know it was possible to blank as much as I have !!. Still had a great time trying tho, no pb but did have 3 cats out of Marsworth in one night, nobody's done that since the early nineties apparently, shame not one of 'em were over 5lb lol. Also had a welsh cat from Celtic lake so that was a bit special.. Well done anyone who's had a good year and done a pb, you lucky #//$+%*s .

Second uk cat season and had cats of 21.8 23 28 31 32.8 and personal best of 42 best of all bit the bullett and bought leeches and it has brought me over half
of my uk cats. Only got them in late july will get them in April next year though.
My best highlight is my 200lb 4ounce segre beast what a cat still relive the battle missus is fed up with hearing about it.!!!!! |

Not put much time in this year but ended the season with 4 cats, all between 22lb and 27lb 12oz, including the 3 in one 13 hour session at grafton mere. 3 of
those 4 fish were new UK PBs. Also went to Spain in April and had a few, biggest went 110lb.
pretty pleased with that, hoping to get one more day session in at Grafton Mere on sunday if i can get booked on. |

Beat my PB three times this year; the best being a fish of 23lb. My aim was to get my first 20 this year and I've managed 3 in all, so can't complain.
Had 11 cats in total and have a few more sessions left to hopefully bag a 30. We shall see. Been a great year all in all and I've learned a lot. If I fail
to land any more this year, I'm confident of achieving even better results next year!

Eee oop Bri,
Cheers mate, I'm well happy with those kittens, but I might have prefered your 60, only just tho lol.. Yea, I'm seriously thinking of getting a ticket, not for the fishing (blanking) but because I've really missed pushing my trolley a mile and a half !!.. If you want any info on barbel near you give me a pm, Dave's right tho, a bit of rain will get them on the feed. Good luck, catch up with you and Dave soon. |

Ive put in a lot of time this year, a 48hr session most weeks , since early april, I am retired and have a very understanding wife , Im sure that if you could put in as much time as I have your results would be similar . Hi All,
Part-time Catter me due to pressure of work and targeting Barbel, Zeds, Fluff chucking and of course Cats. Only managed 3 dedicated Cat sessions this year, but one produced successive P.B's of 40lb 8oz and 44lb 1oz, on leeches in the foulest weather imagineable. Previous to that P.B was a Kitten from Claydon, I was / am so impressed with the strength and tenacity of the fight from this species. Hope to get in more sessions next year, but then again, I always say that As the first autumn low pressures come in, it's time for me to switch to Zeds.... All the best. Marky Mark |

Chris, thats a fantastic result from a difficult lake that can come under siege by the +!+% brigade. I only managed 3 in a total of around 15 nights a
single a double and a twenty. You get my vote for the silverware.

Fantastic fishing Chris - well done. It would be good to know how some of the other 'Top Rods' got on too
Haven't heard anything from Phil A, HH, Simon, Gerry C for instance. A little birdy tells me that a certain Mr Lambert has had a 'Bit of a season' - again! |

Wouldn't say "top rod" but here goes.... one 53, three 40's of 44.06, 45.04 and a locally caught 46.08. Nine 30's, four 20's and four
high doubles.
First time I've had a count-up and think it's my best season for a while. Now for Keith!!
