Hi Keith,
Spoke to the baliff on the River Nene, Oundle last week when I was feeder fishing and he reported a 7lb Catfish was caught and returned to the River Nene just north of Oundle last summer. This would be about 5 miles upstream from Bluebell Lakes as a matter of coincidence. Sadly he remarked that he would have preferred it to have been left on the bank - I did my best to put him straight on that one bearing in mind the river is lousy with Pike. regards Mark |
