Only two of us on the lake, myself and Steve , I had two cats, first 25lb, I would have been happy enough with that alone, and 3 hours later (2am)my second
cat at 59lb. Both on livos, tiny 4" chub. We both caught several small pike , looking forward to september fish in . Many thanks to Rob for putting me

Firstly well done.im fishing a water early July its reputed to hold a very small number of cats but a fair few pike,its mainly a !!%# water and i will be far
more confident with at least 1 livo so if you dont mind can you tell me what set up you fished ie dumbbell,pollyball etc and more importantly what
hooklink,dont want you divulge any secrets just the basics,in anticipation. Regards Peter.

hurricane,i've been fishing a similar water,no cat yet there this year,been using a dumbell with ton up as a hooklink,had plenty of pike and every one has been hooked around the edge of the mouth,not one has had hook totally in it's mouth.been using size 1/0 - 4/0 hooks. |

Thanks for all that guys, Peter, I use 80lb seaguar hooklink, 6.0 owner circle, poly ball rig about 2foot long set near the bottom ,crackers is 15 feet deep. I
have had nothing on surface baits this year !! ...... Phil, after grovelling around in the loft for my old SLR pics I have found a match... a 20lb 8oz fish
from 98 with the same distinctive S shaped yellow mark on its right flank ....one of the babies from Withy ?.. Chris.
