Sad news coming through on the P&P forum.
James Holgate magazine editor, top Cat angler and all round top guy passed away last night.
A very sad day.

best wishes to his family, got his book on catfishing,only spoke to him once, but my simpathy goes out to everyone who had the pleasure to be close to him,

Never met James but always gained something from his writing, one of the top contributors to pike/cat fishing RIP, Chris.

I was shocked and saddened to hear this news. James' contribution to all forms of predator angling through his books and magazines has helped many, many
anglers over the years.
I didn't know James really well but every time we had dealings he came across as a genuine guy and a real gent. My condolences go out to his family and friends. RIP mate.

Sad to hear this - James has probably done more to promote predator fishing and bring people into the sport than anyone else in this country. I always enjoyed his articles and P&P certainly miss him. |
