Superb 48 hour session (even though most of us blanked) with a really good bunch of lads and we raised a good wedge of money as well - I don't think I
have ever laughed so much when fishing (most of that down to Dave aka 'Frightening').

Big Big thank you to Kev for organising a brilliant event, although the fishing was hard i had a great time meeting new and old faces alike, a great bunch of
lads and a great venue, Thanks to John and the bailiffs who made us all feel welcome and worked tirelessly supplying livebaits and beef rolls.
Congratulations to the winners Kev you should feel proud and rightly so Bri

Nice one Kevin, thanks for all your efforts, I think everybody enjoyed and appreciated.
Shame there weren't a few more fish caught but there are no guarantees in fishing. Nice also to put faces to some of the names I didn't know on here, I'll be back if the same event takes place next year. Looking forward to meeting up with the Moggy team again in France. Regards, Maurice |

Well done to all involved especially Kev and all the lads and lasses at Celtic Lakes.

well what can i say other than WHAT A TOP EVENT IT TURNED OUT TO BE .the best fish-in type of thing ever held ,for a good cause ! fishing with nearly 50 top
cat guys .all went well ,top venue ,top company ,fishing was a little hard ,probably due to the amount of lines in the water ,but hey ,i would go again
tommorow .gota say a big thanks to kev for setting up the event, alongside john carney, the owner [also a great guy ], a big thanks to the bailiffs who worked

Hi Guys
Just got back from Wales, stayed on for 24hrs to wet a line and chill out and managed to get two fish on the bank , a 22 1/2 and a 17 which just rounded the week up nicely. Guys i will get round to posting up all the facts and figures, ie catch reports and who won what etc but i am totalled tonight and need to spend some time with the kids before monday. Can I just endorse what John said at the event , you were all fantastic to be with and made the event what it was, thank you all so much. A quick thank you to the events head of entertaiment Mr Dave "Frightning" Johnson , I don,t think i,ve laughed so much in a long while, you keeped my spirits up, thank you Dave it meant a lot to me 
Guys as I said i will post up all the news from the event as soon as i get a chance , the Farliegh bucket ended up with over a grand in it , again when counted properley i will post it up Thank you so much again for all your support and hard work. Same time next year and the good news is John,s letting us have three nights and three days for the event, thanks John you are one in a million and I hope a lifetime friend. Best Regards Kev

well Kev what a great 48 hours I'm proud to say that i was involved in it & to watch a very brave & strong man coupe with all the organising &
putting together of a very special event so close after losing your wife & i think i speak for every one involved on that. A big thanks to john Carney

done to moggie magic for winning the team cup. But most of all to Kev & john for making it all happen will i be back next year you try & stop me.

I couldn't agree more, that really was a brilliant event and I'm proud to have taken part in it with such a great bunch of lads, it really is no
surprise that John thought we were the best group of people that he's ever had there, mind you he's only had mudpig events before so the bar wasn't
set too high

Hi Lads
Just counted the contents of the Farliegh collection bucket and it,s a whopping £1108.09
All the money came from the raffle, live bait sales (supplied by Celtic Lakes f.o.c), donations, food sales (supplied by Celtic Lakes f.o.c.) and the pool which Eric Cleary (Horsedentist) organised for us and any change from the take away runs. Thank you so much for raising this fantastic amount of money for Farliegh over the duration of the event. Some of the lads mentioned they have some sponsorship money they did themselves to collect and that will go to Farliegh to when recieved. Will the person that won the signed copy of !++$ Fever which was donated by Lake Escapes please ring me or pm me so I can post it on as you forgot to collect it thursday morning. Lots more posts to come lads , just fitting them in as I get time. Regards Katmankev

Well done to the winners - i have never seen a bigger bag of cats in a 48 hour session so very well fished. It really opened my eyes to the power of leeches! |
