Hi All,

As usual in the autumn I switch from Catting, Barbeling or Fluff Chucking to Zedding (such an active life) and usually target the River Ouse around Ely.

This autumn my catches have been mixed and fish haven't appeared as they usually do when conditions have been favourable.
Saying that, I've had a couple of double figure Zeds so far, but numbers have been down vs. previous years experience.

Hi guy's and Girl's looking for some advice as regards the best chance of some pike and zander action on the River Severn and Avon unfortunately it will have to be bank fishing as I do not have a boat, not yet anyway but just the usual info, Day Tickets,Location's, club permits etc any info very much appreciated I'm after my first Zed hope somebody can help if not thanks for looking.

Wire or Braid ?

Did my first Pike session of the year yesterday and managed a ten pounder but the wire trace cut into the corner of its mouth which left me less than enthralled. Has anyone tried using Braid or Kevlar as a hooklink as an alternative to wire and if so how did it perform ? ie.did it fray or snap ?.Ive also found with wire that after a couple of fish the wire tends kink or twist. Any comments from regular Pike anglers that would help.

Just seen on the pike and predator forum that a 9.02 eel has been caught whilst intentionally fishing for eels.

Oh my god!! thats an effing monster fish.

Should be up for a 'fish of the season' award, but i somehow doubt it (well its not a $$#$,tench or barbel is it).

Just thought I would mention that this morning I witnessed well known Perch fishing ace and Minnow fry record holder Keith Lambert land a 3lb 4oz Perch on Catfish tackle.While I was there I also witnessed his other two rods loaded for Cats do absolutely sod-all and all this after I was assured that worms were an all singing all dancing killing Catfish bait. Anyone keen to learn how to put their own speccy perch on the bank can contact Keith at any pub in the North London and Hertfordshire...

Livebait set-up for Zander

Hello people,after some help please.....
As I know some of you lads are really into your Zed fishing,could any of you advise me on an efficient presention of a leadged livebait.The problem I was encounting this weekend on the drain we were fishing was that some of the livebaits (3-4in skimmers) I was using were tangling up the trace with the lead and alsorts.The way I was presenting them on the trace was a single,hooked just behind the top fin and a treble set just back of the head on...

Hi lads , the catfishing is coming to an end, whats the best Zed you boys have had from a canal, like crazy ken said bigguns seem hard to find, any of you boys had a go, there's plenty of em in the canals around midlands , how far south , or.north have you boys had them. They are a impressive looking fish, and probably more wide spread than some think.
