Recommendation for a holiday in UK

Hi there

Next year I wont be able to make my usual trip to the River Saone so wanted to grab a week in the UK somewhere.

Does anyone have any suggestions and can recommend a venue, doesnt matter where it is really. Not looking for accomodation etc as will be bivvying up but some facilities would be nice ie a shower room etc.

As my mate like to waste time during the day fishing for c$£p it would keep him happy if said venue had a decent stock of these...

Fish kill at Jimmies ?

I have had reports from several different sources that there was a fish kill at Jimmies some weeks ago,I have been told that some attempt has been made to keep it quiet so if anybody has it in mind to do a session on there they would be well advised to check this info out first. I did hear a rumour of this fish kill in July but took it as only a rumour but have since spoken to several anglers who claim to have seen dead fish.

Hi all.

Have a few days leave coming up in both July & August & fancied trying somewhere/something different and wanted to go for a big fish.
When i say Big fish I'm talking 50lbs plus.

What day ticket fishery's would provide me with the best chance of a 50 plus?
Please don't say Witch lake as i don't wish to remortgage my house for a few days fishing...

Hi guys & girls.
Can anyone one here give some details on Darenth?
Heard it's stocked with some big fish and have a few days holiday coming up in July so might try here instead of St Johns.
Have searched for it on here and found some old posts but nothing specific regarding day tickets, prices , rules, tactics etc.
Also searched for it on goggle but kept getting stuff about the syndicate lake.
Does it have a website?

anyone fishing at the airman this year. I thoght i might have ago but have heard its now gone expensive for night fishing, anyone got any idees at all??

i know some others on hear have fished it in the passed and its supossed to be hard but its a nice lake with some big old cats in.

Well ive caught my first cat of the season all 22lb of it on a live bait was well happy

I had a chat with the owner and he is getting rid of all cats below 20lb in november he said the EA wont let him move any cats to any other lakes or sell them and if he does the will charge him 5 grand per fish so I...

hi has anyone got any info on any Telford waters , withy pool in Telford say they come out to mid 30,s i thought they were bigger, also any info on radley pool , blue pool most welcome, even trench pool. never seen anything on the forum about these lakes but i know Ron Grithiss used to go there in the past , i remember talking to him about one of the pools years ago,. but never heard anything since. cheers glen
